Americans Oppose
Obama's Overseas Funding Of Abortion, Reid Supports.
A Gallup Poll shows that
President "Obama's decision to reverse the prohibition on
funding for overseas family- planning providers may be the
least popular thing he has done so far."
A new Gallup poll says that President Obama's
executive order to wipe out the pro-life Mexico City
Policy is the least favorite of all his actions since
taking office. Readers of Nevada LIFE News know that the
policy lifts the ban on taxpayer funding for groups like
International Planned Parenthood who provide or promote
abortion in other nations. Yesterday the Gallup polling
group said that "Fifty-eight percent of Americans
disapprove of Obama's decision to lift this ban, while
only 35% approve of it".
The president shouldn't be
surprised. Americans oppose taxpayer funding of abortion.
They should not be forced to pay for abortion. Not here.
Not anywhere. Taxpayer funding of abortion and abortion
promotion can only increase abortion.
Nevadans need to know that
"pro-life" Nevada Senator Harry Reid supports Obama's
decision. Last week Reid voted against the Martinez
Amendment to the SCHIP bill. That amendment would have
reinstated the Mexico City Policy's ban on American
taxpayer funding of abortion and promotion of abortion in
other nations.
Meanwhile, pro-life Nevada
Senator John Ensign voted for the Martinez amendment to
reinstate the policy and make sure that no hard earned
taxpayer dollars go to groups like International Planned
Parenthood and others who aggressively promote abortion as
a method of birth control and family planning.
"Pro-choice" Congressman
Dean Heller has supported the Mexico City policy and faces
a vote soon. The Congressman has a better pro-life record
than pro-life Harry Reid. Heller has voted to cut off
taxpayer funding to Planned Parenthood. Reid supports
bailouts for Planned Parenthood.
As we've noted before,
Obama's overturn of the Mexico City Policy is just the
first in a series of steps to implement his radical
abortion views including the overturn of the Hyde
Amendment and passing the
Freedom of Choice Act. President Obama supports
partial birth abortion and opposed legislation to prevent
abortion in the "fourth trimester" by repeatedly opposing
laws to protect children like Gianna Jessen who are born
during an abortion. He's said he would not "punish" his
daughters with a child if they were pregnant.

With more and more stories
and videotape coming out about certain
Planned Parenthood employees' willingness to not report
statutory rape and to take
donations from racist callers to target "black babies,"
it's unconscionable that one dime of taxpayer funding go
to Planned Parenthood or International Planned Parenthood
for any other reason than to close their doors and clean
up the toxic moral waste they've left behind.
